Joined: 21/05/2004(UTC) Posts: 1,654 Location: Brisbane, Queensland		Hi guys, Can anyone tell me what type of metal current Marklin locos are made with for the body? I need to drill and tap some holes in my BR42.90 (39161) to secure a HLA motor so it would be good to know what I'm working with. Joined: 15/10/2006(UTC) Posts: 2,311 Location: Washington, Pacific Northwest		It is a very specific zinc alloy. Its when the alloy isn't properly made (wrong proportions or conditions) I think that the zinkpest issue arises. But in general , its zinc, and a workable material.
