Maerklin announced models of the Stuttgart 21 47130/47131 Sets with two AAE Sgns60 cars each with a pair of Herpa Open top containers for earth transport.

Another company, Rocky Rail, is offering 10 different models of type Sgmms40, which represent the modern cars used in the Stuttgart construction trains:

It is quite likely that both companies are using Schmitz-Cargobull containers made by Herpa

They are available with AC wheel sets.

It occurs to me that the Siemens 193 (Vectron) as mentioned by Maerklin was not in service in 2014, which is the time period referenced for the Maerklin car sets.
A diesel shunter or maybe a BR 152 or 185 would probably be more suitable for that period. The BR 193 can be used with the Rocky Rail cars or if you choose to use the Maerklin cars for the post-2017 period.
