Hallo,

I recently bought a CS3 (60226) to run my layout and 2 M83 (60832) to control the switches.

I followed the manuals for installing the M83's (automatic MFX components recognition).

I setup the dip switches as described (bit 0 at 1 on first M83 to get adresses 1 to 4 on the outputs and bit 1 to 1 on second M83 for adresses 5 to 8, all other dip switches to 0 including last one to operate in MM). I also connected the M83 together and branched the track current (R and B) only on the first M83.

When I activate the switches on the CS3 screen, only the first switch moves according to the order and not Always. I have to wait a few seconds between 2 orders to the switch. The other switches are not responding.

Any idea about the origin of the trouble and the possible solution?
Should I modify the M83 CV and how? I do not find any doc describing the M83 (60832) CV's.

Thanks beforehand for the help.

Kind regards,

Fabien

I did had same similar problem.
There is a small dot that show green color.
This dot must shine full colored.
Try to go to edit of the turnouts and click on the configuration.
It starts read the turnout decoder m83 and after that click accept in upper right corner.
Return back to the CS3 screen.
Does the dot shine fully?
If not try to switch the power off in the CS3 and restart again.
H0
DCC = Digital Command Control

Hallo Goofy,
I applied what you recommended as well as I enlarged the pulse duration of the switch command (from 200 to 600). I can now control the switches but I coule not succeed to get the green dot performing all what you recommended. Any idea of other solution (E.g. In the CS3 parameters)? I can read the m83 CV but can’t change them. Normal? Thanks again for your help.
