141.R.1244 is a Canadian locomotive built by the Montreal Locomotive Works in 1946

I have never seen the control car that is at the end of this consist before. It is beautiful. Does anyone know whether many were built, and when? When were they removed from service?
I hope Marklin will make it. (I hope Herr Sieber reads this forum.)
I would love to put it at the end of my Era 3 consist with the RE 4/4 1.

The control car you mention is actually a powered railcar, RBe 4/4 no. 1405 which nowadays belongs to the society DSF ( http://www.dsf-koblenz.ch/ ).

A total of 82 units were built, among them a pre-series of six prototypes nos. 1401 - 1406. A model has recently been produced by Piko, earlier models were released by Lima (Italy) and Lemaco (brass model). Models have also been announced by L.S. Models years ago - perhaps we will live long enough to actually see them...LOL
