Hi guys,
Is there a diagram somewhere showing the current Marklin 1 gauge track pieces and how they can be arranged? You know, like you can get for their M, K and C track systems... |

Excellent that's great thanks guys.
This info is actually for my dad. He has the old narrow radius track from the 90's starters and is looking to buy new track/turnouts.
One more question - do the turnouts come with a hand lever to operate? Are there clip-on turnout motors/solenoids and with built in decoders like C track? |

Marklin have recently discontinued their stainless steel track in favour of track that was previously manufactured by Hübner.
I don't have any of the Hübner track. The 5977 / 5978 stainless steel turnouts come with hand levers, and can have a point motor fitted (5625) but these do not come with a decoder.
The Hübner points have a hand switch mechanism supplied with them, and there are also addon turnout motors (59079) and turnout decoders (59080).

It looks like, because all the accessories you find here in general https://www.maerklin.de/...cts/gauge-1/accessories/and for decoders in particular https://static.maerklin....53bcd844261525869226.pdf

Hi - I jump into this thread as it is about Geometry - 1 Gauge. I am planning a little shunting layout and is a newcomer in this scale. Before I order the tracks I have a question: Is S-curve 1020/1394 (22,5/15 grade) acceptable in this scale when you use max length 50 cm rolling stock. I know S curve is forbidden but little room and big scale - I have to swallow something. Can someone comments this please. The S curve is a above the red locomotive in the track plan( size 1:6 ) Torstein

You'll be fine with that - I've had passenger coaches run through those sorts of curves with no issues. Just don't run trains too fast and always set the points for the direction of travel when running against the point.

A question regarding turnouts - does isolated(dead) frogs make a problem in this scale?
