We lost the sounds on them.. It might have been through a factory reset... Lights and driving works ok.
What are our options here to get the sound back ??

And just out of interest would ESU V4 21 pin decoders work on this type of Loco ??? Thanks

If you are running these locomotive in analogue mode, then you will not have any sound.
If you a running these locomotives digitally, you could try using the relevant key on your controller/station as per the instructions in the manual? Function 2 will give you operating sounds for example.

I think the second is this: Marklin 60976 Marklin Digital mSD3 21 Pin Sound Decoder
The third is an ESU #62400 M4 decoder.
The First one is upside down & I am unable to identify.

I only see 2 decoders.
Assuming these are the factory-installed decoders, then the second one will be an ESU V3 M4 OEM decoder, locked against sound upgrades. Could it be that the speaker is dead?

The first decoder is "Märklin home-brew". It could be locked against sound and firmware upgrades.

An ESU V4 M4 can replace the decoder in the BR 64.
If the BR 50 uses AUX3 or AUX4 then an ESU V4 M4 may not be suitable for that loco - the current decoder appears to have amplified AUX3/4. This does not matter if AUX3/4 are not used.
Regards
Tom
