Wagon 4008 - installing pick-up shoe
Want to install 7323 pick- up shoe on 4008 (see image, please).
How to open wagon floor ? The place was obviously meant to be penetrated along weak line (red arrow).I suppose when opened, there is metal connection where the shoe is screwed in place.
Is it possible to cut it with sharp screwdriver, the tip of knife etc. ? Or just pushed in and broken ?
Thank you.

Hi Ivan

What I did is to drill a hole in the center of the small car and insert a boggie pick-up shoe
I will send pictures
Cheers

Hi

Take off the hole plastic from the week line...

After that everything is very easy, You will see where to screw the small screw.

The connection is made by itself you haven't to do anything more

Hi Ivan

Here is a picture of a "Begleitungwagen" (accompaniment car?) to which I added a pick-up shoe similar to Märklin 73405 and 2 red LEDs

The hole is a 4 mm (very easy to do), gluing. In this case I had to add adhesive tape on the slider buckes to avoid short circuits

I use exclusively LEDs I purchase in 5 m band for under 10€. This allows to keep the current very low, it is also very long lasting and the result is this

Note the lighting of a full consist draws much under 50mA
