Hi all,
I am building a new layout using Marklin digital 6021 /6036 (80F) controllers which are located on one side of the layout. I have created an area where there are several points which are too far away to be viewed from my control area. I am not aware that the 6021 controllers had a remote or walkaround control or if anything else is available.
If there is such a control I would love to hear from anyone where I could get one.
Thanks in advance regards Richard from Brisbane

Marklin did produce an Infra Red controller, the 6071 and handset 6072 for use with the 6020/1 series control units. I don't believe it operates points though. You can use up to 4 IR handsets with the 6071. However these units are reasonably rare and command quite high prices on ebay.

You can extend the bus that goes between the 6021 and 6036 c80f units using a cable. I don't recall the part number for the cable sorry. It came in something like 1 meter lengths for the purpose of having controls remote from the central unit.

The cable to which Kiwi Alan refers to is 6038 a six foot long adapter cable between 6021 to 6036 or 6040. IT is quite regularly available on Ebay very cheaply although the flat cable makes it a little user unfriendly. The IR controllers are as rare as hens teeth and can go for quite ridiculous prices

Cool

There's also an Uhlenbrock infrared ad-on or an ESU radio controlled remote controller to connect to the 6021; but both these are also getting quite rare.

Per.

Cool
