Does anyone know where I can purchase the below item for DL 800. There are some for sale on Ebay at $55.86 each, which seems expensive. Can they be purchased in Germany for less money?
Thanks for your reply. Bob

Bob That sounds about right if you are desperate for them now. For me if I could them for $20 each that would be about right. You can also try and get them off a scrap or spares engine. Roger

They are indeed expensive and make buying a loco to get two worthwhile. Beware some suppliers seem to offer them but it turns out that what they have is the later blackened version and not the shiny one (if that's what you want).

EE-20780-NEW-Maerklin-Marklin-Marklin-HO-Pantograph-Stromabnehmer-Kolls-Type-6 Hi Bob One supplier is Ritter (see https://www.ritter-restauratione...l=;usrPwd=;katKey=1.5.2) they propose 2 possible panthographs - the "Watt" type on early models (Koll type 4.1) repro for 86€ (2 pantographs) - the latest (Koll type 6) with nickel current pick-up, original for 48€ (2 pantographs) So you price seems high. Note: my DL 800 dates 1951, is green with round shafts and no traction tires. This model was with pantographs with copper current pick-up (Koll type 5), original for 68€ (2 pantographs) See here https://www.ritter-restauratione...il=;usrPwd=;katKey=1.4.7) I hope this helps Cheers Jean |
