Hello Everyone,

I am a newbie to Marklin model railroading and am in the process of purchasing equipment for my new found hobby.

In the course of deciding which locomotives to buy, (both new and used on E-Bay) I have found it difficult to find information on older models of Marklin trains made in previous years. Two examples of this would be a Marklin HO 4-6-2 steam engine and tender Model #5920 and Marklin HO 4-6-2 steam engine and tender Model #3673.

Is there an online Marklin database that I can go to help me know when these models were made and other information about these and other items?

I have tried the www.marklin.de (Germany) and www.marklin.nl (Netherlands) websites to find information with little or no success.

Can anybody help me?

Hi,

You should try http://www.maerklinist.de (the Märklin-HO-Datenbank mh0db) and http://www.bahn.hfkern.de/Maerklin/Menue.html. I guess you are looking for scale 1:1 betriebsnummer 5920 and 3673? (I don't think there are any Märklin article number of either 5920 or 3673.)
