No deliveries before March 2006. I thought this item was in production together with Fleischmann since beginning of 00s. Lokshop reply that Marklin is designing a new turntable. Anyone here that has some information about this?

I have heard that they are redesigning the TT for about two years. .

I will believe it, when i see it.

Welcome Martin T.
The turntable was to be redesigned to use C track. Currently you must use transition track to K to use the turntable. They may also be changeig the electronics so it can be operated with the Central Station. Currently you must use sperate power and control.

Agreed that a redesign for C-track has been needed for years.
But I don't see any need for operation with CS; The missing part AFAIU is the software of the CS only. The TT decoder operates on turnout commands, which don't differ between Motorola 1, Motorola 2, and mfx. However, it might be that the old decoder doesn't accept other things in the mfx-signal; still, nothing to do with the TT itself. This decoder has bad reputation to burn too.

The marklin TT is made by Fleischmann, so probably Fleischmann is actually designing the new TT entries for C track under Marklin specifications, possible reason for a mayor delay.

And also probably they are designing a new decoder in order to operate de TT from the CS.

I have heard the same about the TT getting redesigned, but got tired of waiting for it, so I got a 7286. I will say I am surprised that you can't find one for sale, my wife just bought mine in October at LokShop.

Do your 7286 make a distinct coffe grinder noise? I have the Fleischmann 3-rail equivalent and it sure does that noise, though there's nothing wrong with it.

I was considering getting the SB-Modellbau's Faulhauber's based motor kit. Has anybody tried that?

I haven't set mine up yet so I can't say anything about the noise.
