Hi,

A friend asked for an interior for the 4018 railbus trailer, so I made one. The 3016 railbus is filled with the motor and the reversing unit, but the trailer has lot of space inside.
The part fits into the railbus without any modification. Only the windows should be relaced with a clear foil, otherwise nobody will see it. I fitted no windows for the picture to have a better photo-quality.

I ignored the toilet. The walls of the toilet would block the light from the bulb. So I decided to draw it without a toilet.

Hi,

Thank you all for the compliments.

My capacities are limited and every part takes about three hours to print in the quality shown. If you don't know anybody to else to ask to print the part, I can also do it, but only in limited quantities. The price here will be around 5 EUR +Postage. If you are interested, write me a private mail.

Regards

Markus

Hi Markus,

Have you thought about printing Märklin 0222, 0223, 0224 and 0225 interior kits?

HelloBigGrin

I did print also this interior piece. I have Prusa 3i printer and I use ultimaker Cura-slicer. I had difficulty removing support structures though.

One question for Marcus: From your pictures I can see that you have managed very well removing support structures.

Can you tell us any detail about support configure of your printer for this thing.

I have done quite much different small parts for my layout and for oldest rolling stockBigGrin BigGrin
3D-printing is fun and not so expensive any more.

Jukka

Hi Jukka,

Which version of CURA do you use? Versions below 3.0 don't do it well. I set the "Support Placement" to "Touching Buildspace" only.
So, where you don't see any support-structures, there aren't any. This is how the part comes out of the printer:

Thanks for your answer.BigGrin

CURA 2.7 was the version I did use. Now I have latest version and try again.

IMHO most difficult thing in 3D printing is to find good design program which is free and easy to learn. Based on my own experiences AutoCad is good but expensive and it take much time to learn. Tinkecad is simple and free but it takes much imagination to create complicated and precise pieces.

I would like to know which programs people use and are satisfied.Blushing Blushing

Hi,

I use FreeCAD. But I think about moving to FUSION360. I'm not really satisfied with FreeCAD, but I know how to use it. Complex FreeCAD models like to become corrupt and sometimes you really get bad surprises. But as long as it works, it's a fine program. The models published here are all made with FreeCAD.

Markus
