So I recently received my CS3 and started doing a track layout in the tack board. The issues I have is how do you get items such as track layout, turnout, etc. to line up, when I go to connect to each other they end up being slightly offset. Is there a coordinate system, a way to "snap" items to a spot on the layout (I see all those + signs do they mean anything), a way just to move things only horizontally or vertically? The other issue I am having is that when I go to rotate a turnout the blue circle covers the rotation angle number, anybody else having this issue? Any recommendations on working in track board on the CS3 is greatly appreciated. Wish there was a way to import a layout from Scarm or Anyrail.

I came across this post when I was searching in this forum for some of the same answers. I also have the same rotation problem with turnouts, and I feel like I’m missing something in the instructions when it comes to lining things up properly. Did you find any answers since you posted this?

Thanks, John

Talking with something they said the issues with the blue dot being over the rotation angle has been forwarded on to Marklin I guess this wasn't an issue in earlier versions. Hopefully a future update fixes this.

Joe, I forgot to thank you for this - and hopefully they'll fix the issue. I have mentally created a long list of usability issues Marklin should address with the CS3; I should take the trouble to pass it on to them, who knows, maybe they'll appreciate it.

Thanks again, John

Hi,

I started to draw a more complex layout on the cs3 and the drawing the layout improves significantly using a usb mouse connected in the back. It’s way more precise and faster for placing and rotating items. Didn’t find any mention to a (welcome) snap option, even in marklin digital book 03092 (only covers basic placing, selecting and coping).

Regards
John
