I have this crane and it works fine with the digital controler 6021.
I get no reaction of the crane using the mobile station.
Does anybody know how to operate the crane with the mobile staion (or later with the central staion)
Thanks
Simon

Hallo Simon,
i think it works, i have my old Digital Portal Crane working with the Central Station so i can export my crane to the Mobile Station,
settings as a function decoder (f1 - f4) and i activate f0 for the magnet and deactivate f3 and f4 because they are not used with my crane,
Greetings,
Walter

Well, my Roco crane uses solely function, or rather "off" for operation, and not f1-f4. It uses old Motorola, which is not supported by Mobile Station; however; the simple use of "function" (light button) makes no differense.
I just tested it, and it works. It's clumsy, dubbelpressing the lights button and the like; still, it works. I configured it as "adress", not "datenbank". /Lars

Hello Lars,
my old crane also use the Motorola 1 format, also the 27 speed traps at Motorola 2, are not possible with the central station, you have only 14 steps, i think it is the same for the Mobile Station.

It won't work with CS..Software not compatible. Just like M not to have the update for this ready yet. Can't run the M turntable either. Stephen(USA) |

Hello Guys,
i have tried to export my crane from the Central Station to the Mobile Station, and sorry it doesn't work, and the Central Station stopped working, with a dark screen, and the mobile station gives the massage not te be the master, and also stopped working. After a hard reset of the Central Station, by removing the power and the batteries, the central station is working again, also the mobile station. But the data are not transfered,
May be in a next software update it is done, but for the moment it doesn't work.
I tried twice with the same result,
Greetings,
Walter

Walter, what are you saying? You have configured the cranse as Motorola old in CS? Then I agree, also with Stephen, the Mobile Station won't accept. But if you configure it as Motorola new, it will work; the decoder itself is Motorola old, but the command used are equal enought to be understood.
Dance car, "Gesellschaftwagen", old stationary crane won't work, as they use f1-f4.
But Stephen; turntable decoder uses turnout commands; Mobile Station certainly won't handle that, but I guess you could cheat with the Mobile Station, configuring it as a series of turnouts.
Märklin have had two long years from announcement to this release ...

Hello Lars,
i configured the Crane as a function decoder, because it was not working when i configured it as a locdecoder. For me it was only an experiment,

Hello Guys,
Thanks for your help.
The crane functions with the mobile station, using the function (light) button for switching between the different functions of the crane. The speed "button" is used for switching the direction (left and right or up and down) and for the speed of the movements.
Greetings
Simon

At least in DCC the crane has come out in a number of different versions. Has it been likewise in Motorola?
I switched my M decoder for a DCC years ago cause I couldn't get along with the stupid "round-robin" mode the Motorola used.
Nice info that you could fix some of the old stuff defining them as "turnouts/function" decoders.
