Looking at the HO lionel polar express set, Just the 3 cars no loco. says fits all HO but i know that is BS. It has led electric which i can rig a battery system from an old coal car OR maybe i can run a marklin shoe. Also i know wheel sets can be an issue. It does state 18" min curve - I think m track racks are 17". I could be totally wrong about that spec. And of course the coupling to the first car i would have to switch out, i have parts for that from old trains.

Looking for some advice on this. Theres low priced sets still int the box out there that im looking at. It would be for the kids Xmas - I figure I'd need tinkering time first.

Thoughts?
