I have been using SCARM on my MAC for the last few days. I have installed it using one of the utilities based on WINE ( https://www.winehq.org ) meant to run windows software on POSIX compliant systems (the MAC is one of those...). These utilities and the Wine software are open source, so free to use.

The utlities I know of are:

Wineskin ( http://wineskin.urgesoftware.com/tiki-index.php )
Portingkit ( http://portingkit.com/en/ )
Playonmac ( https://www.playonmac.com/en/ )


Basic instructions:
- Download and install one the utilities
- Download the SCARM installation program
- Run the chosen utility and follow the step by step instructions to install SCARM when prompted.

SCARM seems to run fine apart from the 3D view. The zoom function is also quite sensitive, but this is the same on Railmodeller Pro.

The likelihood of breaking anything is remote, but I have written this article for information purposes only, so use at your own risk...
