Is there a Maxi general catalogue for all the models produced from start to finish?
Information on this seems to be scattered.
I have nearly completed my Marklin H0 collection and wish to collect some Maxi items,i have the Rossle engine already.

Thanks.

As with all other scales Maxi models were included in the annual general catalogue.

Hi,

Unfortunately MÄRKLIN didn't list all MAXI - items in the catalogues, even those, which had a regular number and were obtainable in every shop. Other items like the VW BEETLE appear in the catalogue but were never delivered. Some items are also shown in the catalogue in a version which looks totally different than the item delivered. In some cases these prototype pictures have still survived in the Märklin-product-database: 54561 .

The most reliable source I know is: http://www.robkruijt.net/Maxi/pages/MAXImain.htm

Edit: This book also helps. It contains +99% of the MAXI-line, but also other 1-gauge items: http://www.vriendenvansp...Book_Maerklin_Spur_1.pdf

Regards

Markus

That is a great document. It shows FD's 54411 set, which is missing from the 1997/1998 catalogue, but I think that the crane wagon in her set might be a different colour. Thank you Markus.

Hi Adrian,

This is http://www.robkruijt.net/Maxi/images/54411-0.jpg

It also contained an oval, two additional 900mm rails and a transformer. The crane car came in a box #401019.

More about the cranes: http://www.robkruijt.net/Maxi/pages/Kranwagen.htm

Regards

Markus
