It took Marklin long time to come back to me but eventually they did  , but now I can do with a bit of help. From the photo enclosed you will see that the front R.H side lantern is missing. Marklin sent me the parts breakdown and asked me to tell them what part I need. I believe that it is 60 000, but am I correct? The photo is not clear enough for me to be 100%. Hi,
Märklin sent you the wrong parts - list. The number #3097 was issued twice, for two totally different models: First, in the late 1960s for a model of the BR23 , a simplified version of #3005 / DA 800. And again for a model of the BR 03 in the 1990s. For that #3097 never an spare - parts diagram was issued.
What you need is a lantern 242860 and a lens E761600 (pack of 10). The lens is in stock at Märklin, the lantern is no longer available but can be found on ebay. I think you need two lanterns, on the photo it looks like the handle - grip of the existing lantern is missing.

Thanks very much for your help. I will contact Marklin and search Ebay. By the way, thanks to you, only now I spotted that the handle is missing.

Had another email from Marklin. In that I was told that the lantren242860 is available in set # E175937, also it comes together with 3 lenses.
