I am in the process of putting together the Maerklin IC "Tiziano" consist. It is a little sad that Maerklin still has not released models of the other types of coaches that could be found in this consist. Somebody offered me a few Fleischmann coaches in the same livery, including a Bvmz185, an Avmz107 (I think) and a WRmz137 (I think). I don't remember the numbers, but they were from the 5100-5120 series.

Does anybody have these coaches and can you tell me how well they combine with the Maerklin coaches. My first experiment in combining the Maerklin 28cm coaches with other brands was disappointing, as the Roco EWIV (44201/44427/44428/etc) was a little wider than the Maerklin coaches. Other than the SBB double deck cars, I don't have any Fleischmann coaches to compare the scale widths with my Maerklin models.

Did Fleischmann make a model of the Bm235 coach in the IC1985 livery?

Regards

I have tried to run my Roco coaches with the new Marklin ones but found the Marklin coupler caused them to constantly derail

That's a well known design-flaw of the Märklin couplers. Use Roco couplers on both sides and the issue should be resolved.
