I posted these first impressions of my SBB class 193 (36193) on my loco thread.

1. The colour of the loco is lighter than it appears in the on-line photos.
2. The loco registered quickly and easily with mfx on my MS2.
3. The head and tail lights (white and red) are more subtle than on other recent Hobby loco. I prefer it this way as some are just too bright.
4. The sounds are too loud as usual. I'll turn that down from my MS2 menu.
5. The horn sounds both go on and on for ages. There is no 'short' horn.
6. I found the braking abrupt at the end, just as it's coming to a halt. I'll try to adjust the braking delay to see if I can improve that.
7. When setting off from stopped the loco does a perceptible 'wobble' or tilt to the left and then goes back to straight and level as it accelerates away. Not sure what is causing that, but it seems to be that the way the chassis is suspended is transmitting some of the torque from the motor to a rotation of the body. I need to investigate this further, but it's not actually a huge issue as it's almost imperceptible.
8. The weight seems less than other metal bodied hobby locos. I'll try to weigh a couple and compare.

Since then I addressed the following:

4. I lowered the volume to a better level, but some sounds are louder than others.
5. I discovered there is in fact a short horn sound on the second 'page' of the functions.
6. I adjusted the braking delay and it now stops smoothly.
7. The wobble seems to have disappeared.
8. I compared the weight to the TRAXX electrics and the ER20 diesels and it is considerably lighter. I don't know if the pulling power is any less though as I've tried it on a longish train and it has no problems pulling 8 to 10 bogie wagons.

Seems it needed some tuning in the decoder as well as some running in. To bad about the weight, do you have a scale or does some one else know the weight of the modell?
