Hi all,

Does anyone know the size of the k83 6083 decoder mounting screws? I have an old one, but no screws.
Would be handy to know this when I go to the hardware store and try to find.

Thanks,

Don
Best Regards,
Don

consider using Velcro instead of screws.

See pictures at http://cabin-layout.blog...4/08/Viessmann-5210.html

I find it much easier to staple the Velcro onto the substrate and glue some Velcro on the back of the modules. It is so easy to change one out, and you can also keep the wires tidy by adding squares of Velcro.

Hi,

You will not find this Screw in a local Hardware Store in Canada or the U.S.A. Take Dales advice and use the velcro.

Hi Dale,

I used self adhesive Velcro pads to mount it to the underside of my wooden train table structure. After letting it set for 24 hours, per instructions with the Velcro, the pads are very strongly attached. Now over time the adhesive may weaken and out will come the stapler, but so far so good.
Thanks again for the tip!

Don
