Hi:

I just got my new Ice 2 start set and wanted to reset the decoder to factory set up.

I follow the instructions in the manual, but nothing changes: not the speed setting or acceleration setting.

Should I be concerned?

Thank you.

I never manage to reset a decoder or change the speed or braking delay or acceleration delay of a locomotive with my CS2,i am still using my old trusty 6021.
Maybe it is a sollution if you have one.

I have the same question. I just got my Orient Express set (26922). The locomotive works fine but the some smoke function does not work. I have tried two new smoke generators to test if the smoke generator was the problem, but the results are negative. Just want to try to reset the decoder to see if resetting will activate the smoke function.

I have similar problem with 43992 "Behelfsgepaeckwagen MDyge 986 mit sound". All functions ok but light off and on to the connected coaches (43993)does not work.

The loco should have the default settings out of the box, so nothing changes when you reset it.
But after increasing the acceleration delay or reducing the maximum, a reset should make a difference.

I have a 1 ga, 55413 or better know as 41 069 to the CS2.

When initially trying to fire up the lok, the address showed up as 16.
The manual shows 40 & 41 I'm guessing that 41 was for the telex off the tender.

Lost contact with the lok the first day , and let everything set for the next day.

When trying to "reset" the decoder the decoder reset at 17?? Oh well!

Next day the decoder fired up as 16, yes as 16.

Decided to see what update decoder was all about and got 5, yup a 5

During these trials, all sound functions seemed to work. Did not want to use smoke at this point.

So far to me when re registering the lok, the only constant was the name, IE 41 069, with the proper icon.

Off topic, I am more than please with the lok, and functions, its a Beast!!Laugh

Best Regards,
gene

The manual shows two MM addresses while the CS2 shows the mfx address.
So there is no contradiction in the information you present here, as these are completely unrelated aspects.

The MS2 cannot show the mfx address, so Silvano cannot see this information.

Hi

I have a Marklin 6021 controller.

How can I reset a 6080 and a 60975
decoder?

If not what kind of equipment should I purchase?

Thx

Ton

Hi Ton

Principle: reset is done by writing value 8 in CV 8

On 6021 key-in the decoder address
Turn the speed control to the left as for a direction change and keep it that way while pushing the GO key
Now you are in programming mode
Type the CV number (08 in this case) two numerals
Turn the speed control as for a direction change, now the loco is blinking
Type the value for the selected CV (08 in this case) two numerals
To confirm, turn the speed contral as for a direction change
To leave the programing mode, push the stop button

I hope this helps
This is the translation of a French post at (http://trainminiature.discutforum.com/t4318-programmation-lokpilot-control-unit-6021-marklin-i). Thank you to Evolution

Cheers

Jean
