Hello everybody, I am looking for information. On the steam locomotive stands 3041. Electric steam locomotive. On the tender stands; N.Y.C.R.R. I can not find any information on this märklin locomotive. [img=  ]304 [/img] Greetings

Hi,
Welcome to the forum.
This is a Märklin AR 3041 from the early 1920s in gauge 1. It is a export-version for the US-market. It is a version for "high current" with resistors. But beware to run it on 230VAC. It should start running at ~20-25Volt.

Hi, Maybe because Märklin had no Internet in the early 1920s? In fact, there are only very few informations about earlier toy-trains on the web. If you search for you find at least some pages were the European version is mentioned. Regards Markus

The question is whether the version is so original? The question is whether the lok is the way it is original? Because I know as I said this version so not. Is the tender inscription so synonymous original?
