A year or so ago I found a modeler's website where he had posted pictures of various surfaces, cobblestone for streets, stone or brick for walls that could be copied and printed out for use on layouts. I thought I had bookmarked the site but I can't find it again. Does anyone recall this site or can you recommend a similar one?
Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks!

Hi there,

Another great site is http://www.floodland.nl/trein/index_en.htm. It does not have the cobblestones etc that you mention but does have some great pictures and tips. He does have a few downloadable German signs (road and track) that may be of interest to you.

Mike, I don't know that I would go that far (educational and inspirational) but they certainly are useful. I have made great use of the bricks and stones on my layout.

Thank you Prez.
I believe that Peter's page is the one that I lost. At one time I was able to download the images on my iMac. When I tried to view them now, I get the following message when I click on ANY of the options. "The image “http://www24.brinkster.com/audit/Grey_Large_Bricks.jpg” cannot be displayed, because it contains errors." The message is essentially the same for all of the choices.

When I tried to view your images I get a message the my iMac does not know what to do with a ppt file.

Would it be possible for someone to download them as jpegs and send them to me as e-mail attachments? Thanks again from Roseburg, Oregon, USA

They are good sites. Always looking for sites showing how to build layouts, landscaping etc.

I also got an error message when looking at Peter Funck's images. But it must have been some temporary error because it worked again later.

I will try to generate my own patterns in another format. I have tried jpeg before but I found the quality to be poor.

Gosh! What a trerrific Group this is. Both Maxi and Perz responded with First Aid and Aftercare both. Maxi sent downloads that he had saved which came over perfectly. Next Maxi converted his images in 3 separate formats. I was able to download and read both the GIF and jpeg ones.

Thanks again to you both and to all that responded. Happy Christmas to all here.
Sincerely, Dick B.
