Can anyone suggest a detailed steam locomotive for a 3 rail system? im trying to find a nice locomotive with great detail but with nice sound as well (i tend to like freight locos i like the many wheels <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>) well thanks alot! Steam loco, nice sound? You'd better look in the Roco catalogue.
I don't know of any good Märklin steam sound compared to ESU, which is factory installed in the Roco sound models. I own myself the Bavarian S3/6 for 3 rail, it's just wonderful. Unfortunately, these models are more demanding regardning the track; It runs as a beauty, but unfortunately, easily derails (in tunnels).
I don't know about any freight loco though.
