Hi all,
I am looking for pdf's or scans of the loco manuals for the Crocodile and Ae 6/6 that came with the 29680 Swiss Mega-Start set. I tried searching but only found reference to the full set manual which I do have.

Thanks,
Roger

You have to be careful with using the manual from another similar item, as there could be significant differences between the two models. OK to use it if the locos are the same build - motors, spare parts, etc.

There are no manuals for 29680 on the Marklin website.

No need to use that site, there is a copy of the 37360 manual at the Marklin link I gave above.

Thank you guys,
The croc manual you found is the wrong type. It is the Be Jackshaft version. Mine is a Ce. The 37360 makes sense in that the red version in the same catalog is37361 but that the manual says it will register as 610 500-1. Mine registers as Ae 6/6 11404. I mainly am interested in the croc manual because it has the mini sds motor with worm gears and not spur gears like my older one.

Best regards,
Roger

The Ae 6/6 in the 29680 Set basically corresponds to the 29814/37437 model. http://medienpdb.maerkli.../1/pdf/37437_betrieb.pdf
The last Ae 6/6 to have the ESU OEM Sound decoder was the one from the 29850 Set (Ae 6/6 and Re 460). The next models came with Maerklin's new mfx decoder and sound.
The Crocodile corresponds pretty much to the 39563: https://static.maerklin....a3bf668cd11434542124.pdf

The 37360 might have some common elements with the 29680 Ae 6/6 as well, but I think it has a more recent version of the Maerklin sound decoder.
The 37361 may or may not still have the ESU sound decoder. I do not have this model, so I cannot confirm whether it was the same as the 29680 or the earlier 29850 version.

29850 parts diagram also valid for 37362 red and green (set) according to the Maerklin website.
37362 Instructions: https://static.maerklin....7f3d3a3e211434542620.pdf

With all of this information, you should be able to match your locomotive with the one that has the same innards and use that instruction manual.

Maybe Stefan or one of the other Swiss modellers has the 29680 and some of these other models and can confirm which one is closest. I only have the 29850/37360/37437 to compare.

Mike C

If you don't have any luck with the other pointers you have been given, I have this set and can PDF the manuals for you.

I think you were given a pointer to the 39563 manual, but the 39562,1 and 0 should all be similar apart from them being brown or green (and possibly Be instead of Ce, but I suspect the inner working are the same).
