after the learning how to get my 60653 to recognize my locos and run them on my oval, yay, i shut everything off, came back later turned everything on and the locos do not run. I dug up my handy dandy multimeter, set for ac volts and there is no voltage at red and brown wires coming out of track box. the controller is lit up. there is no voltage at various settings of red knob. what should the output be? i verified multimeter operation by measuring voltage of analog transformer and it measured 17-18 volts at about 1/3 knob turn...
what is wrong? how can i rectify it? are my recently acquired digital components defective? it is ac voltage i am looking for, right? signed, disappointed(Thomas)Confused

Did you press the "Stop" button to deactivate it? The unit starts in the stop mode. Wink

It is not only a learning curve it also helps when you engage and activate the memory recall mode.
