Hi,

I just bought a sleeping car OBB from LS Models. I am totally disappointed with what I got.
Very many imperfections, paint problems, trouble with boxes under the wagon.

Below are pictures of defects.

Hi HurricaneCool

I saw others imperfections, for example photo # 9 : the right buffer and the photo 10: under the cabin

LS models is a brand of my native country. I am really surprised with this model.

I have no models from their company, but I believe that they have a good reputation

Sorry for you Unsure

As far as the buffer in photo #9, the buffers are spring loaded and not permanently attached like some other companies, so there can be a little play in the positioning. Most often, the buffers can be put back into the correct position.

As far as the overall appearance, the model does not live up to the standards that we have come to expect to see from LS Models.
If you just received the item, is there a possibility of asking for a replacement/exchange?
Did you buy it from a dealer or on an auction site?

The listing for this model at reisezugwagen.eu http://www.reisezugwagen.eu/?p=9742 shows a few spots where the silver paint on the windows overflowed, but appears better than your model.

Some, if not most, of the undercarriage details can likely be pressed back into place.

According to LS Models' website, the number 47082 is listed as Rerun. I don't know whether the Rerun was delivered before the bankruptcy of Song Hui (Modern Gala)

I have the other version (47078) and it does not have the same issues.
If you can return it to the person you bought it for, you can try the dealer that I sent you a link to for a replacement.

Regards

LS should hang their heads in shame. Mad A very poor and shameful effort. I could throw a Marklin passenger wagon in the toy bin at the local childcare centre for six months and it would look better than this new one.

In all fairness, I have seen a few Maerklin models with less than stellar paint jobs too. I could start with the 37446, the 37363 and 37360 (first batch) and others…

Hi,

@Thewolf
For me, it is the first railcar from them. Knowing that is a company that produces highly detailed cars, I decided to buy it.

@mike c
I've seen those pictures after I bought the the wagon. From what I've heard and I have asked, I believe that the whole lot is a problem.
I bought the the wagon from a store, the problem is that I am from Romania and store it is in Austria. I do not if they still have it.
I'm very very disappointed of this car, knowing that it is a renowned company.

I have sent them an mail on this subject.

Model problems aside, I love the photography. What were they taken with?
Thanks,
George
