Here's a start...

Lok Museum

Catalogues are always a good first place to start...

http://www.3rotaie.it/

Go to archives, Marklin Catalogues - you now need to register but it's worthwhile, you can get lots of info here

Regards

Steve

I use Helmut Kern's site quite a lot to find out about older locos and wagons

http://www.hfkern.gmxhome.de/

and this site has a lot of photos of Marklin trains from way back, in order by catalogue number and productions dates:

http://www.modellbahnboerse.org/info.htm

and then there's Bigio's site for excellent photos of Marklin items in close up and from different angles:

http://www.bigio.it/Home/Home.htm

Enjoy!
Ray
Mostly Marklin.Selection of different eras and European railways
Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.

Another place to access information is Kolls catalogues. It will tell you year(s) of production and point out any variations between production runs.

Against Kolls is that it is only in German, and only available as a printed book.
