Hi!

Many sound locos can be configured to have sound also in analogue operation. To change the configuration a digital controller is needed.

The first video shows a Piko Ludmilla with ESU sound decoder:

Acceleration delay is active. A special feature of the ESU decoders: the lights get dim while the engine starter works.

The second video shows a Roco Taurus with Zimo sound decoder.

The Taurus plays the typical scales while starting. Near the end the loco comes to a standstill with squealing brakes.

Both locos are still standing with the throttle in the low range. Lights and idle sound will be on while the loco is still standing. This can also be changed with a digital controller.

And very important: the volume of the sounds can also be adjusted with a digital controller.
Regards
Tom
