Hi all,
Märklin suggests BR18.1 31117 for pulling the Orient Express 42795/6 sets.
Would BR15 (or BR15.0 ?) 37016 be also appropriate to pull that train?

Hi Miguel, The BR15 was removed from service in 1925/26. The Orient Express train set is supposedly modelled for 1928, but I think there is quite a bit of latitude given, in the colouring and era of that set. Thanks for your reply. I got it. The 37016 with 42795/6 is in the border between reality and fantasy but it makes a beautiful train.
It didn't exist in reality, but it could have existed even if for very few time.
The 37016 seems a very nice model. I like a lot the coloured controls inside the cabin as well as the streamlined cabin.
I have on order the 42795/6 and I am tempted to buy the 37016.

I agree, it would make a lovely train, and if the locos had been in use for another couple of years it might have been a reality.
The beauty of this hobby is that we can be as historically accurate as we like in the privacy of our own homes!
