Hi

If I use a block signal (just red and green lights) and I wish to use the brake module (I have a 72441), which Viessmann module should I use for the soft changing of lights? The 5221 or 5222 say (in the catalogue) they make soft change of lights and train control, but in my case I want to control with the brake module...

In brief, how do I get soft change of lights when using the brake module? (I hope I don't have to by the expensive 5210, which has soft change but no train control!)

Cheers,

Nuno Smile

Use the proper module to control the light signal and just ignore the red wires (track power). Connect both the brake module relay and the 522X relay to the same control leads. (I.E., red impluse sets signal to red and BM to Stop.)

You will wind up with two relays in parallel.wink

Right,
but pleas not that 5210 is not that expensive either. It can be used to set the lights of two signals, even 3 aspect signals,
or 1 3 aspect signal and 1 4 aspect,
or 1 3 aspect and one distant signal
