I was trying to add new track to my C track layout and installed a double slip turnout with a 74460 decoder. It appeared to work initially, but then quit. The solenoid portions work fine, but I tried 2 decoders and neither worked. Now, only one of the remaining 3 decoders are working, They previously worked fine. I checked integrity of track and trains run, but Ecos does not result in any results, no matter what I do with addresses, etc. Has anyone had such a problem or any things I can check? Thanks!

I've tried the motors and they are all working fine when connected without the decoders. And it happened to three of the turnouts all at once!

Well, I don't have that decoder (only K83's); maybe a search on the forum by the decoder # you could find a solution (or someone with almost the same configuration than yours).
Cheers,

Have you checked to be sure the feeder wire orientation from your controller is correct? As I recall the 74460 decoders require red to be B and brown to be O.
Also check to be sure the accessory protocol is set to mm/mm2.
When checking turnout decoder functionality I usually connect a MS2, turnout decoder and a known good motor to single piece of track for testing, this eliminates any variables that make affect operation. I have found the 74460 to be very reliable in comparison to the 74490/1.
Cheers, Gordon
