Hello, I like to show You a short demo video (~50 seconds) to demonstrate the efficency of a buffer capacitor in my Primex BR141. The video demonstrates, how the buffer capacitor is helpfull, when there is a 6cm long Tesa stripe on the middle contact: Primex BR 141 5-Pole high efficency propulsion 4 x ball baering fx-Decoder from 37652 4740µF buffer capacitor This old 141 001-8 had a very heavy used gear box, several gears were worn out. I decided to insert a 5-Pole high efficency propulsion. The motorshield got a ball bearing. The sintered bearing was worn out, too! I drilled it out and inserted a 4mm ball bearing, too. The same for two gears, which were worn out on the drilling hole. I drilled it up to 4mm and inserted ball baerings, fixed with super glue. I had an old fx-decoder from a BR362 (37652) which is equipped with additinal AUX-ports for the Telex. I will use it for the red rear lights. Further more, it is possible to buffer the decoder voltage with capacitors. I used 4 electrolytic capacitors with a total capacity of 4.710µF. The capacitor has to be connected to the orange cable (decoder plus) and the solder point above, which is decoder Minus: Look at HGH HomepageMoritz Edited by moderator 15 February 2015 18:32:20(UTC)
