Hello folks,
Just unpacking a brand new Br 38 analogue engine, 1973-76 build, purchase from a collector's deceased estate. Look very nice, however all my engines presently are second hand and re builds. Advice on running in is welcome.
Regards
Ken

Hi Ken,
Give it a light oiling on the axles and one drop of oil on each of the motor bearings, then run at about half speed for 15-30 minutes in each direction. |

Mostly Marklin.Selection of different eras and European railways Small C track layout, control by MS2, 100+ trains but run 4-5 at a time.

I would double check if all the screws are tight. If it never ran before perhaps light oiling it first before running it. Running it fast forwards and back works to loosen everything up. Hopefully it does not contain any old Marklin oil that turns to wax which means disassembly and cleaning. Good Luck!
