All, with permission from the FD, BigGrin I attended a local swap meet hosted by the Boeing Employees Model Railroad Club.
I found many old Faller kits, that were mostly un-built, that had belonged to a US Army soldier, who had been stationed in Germany. They had been stored for many years in a footlocker along with some Fleischmann trains. Sharp eyed members will also recognize the unusual M track, M bridges and Vollmer Conveyor...Wink
I came back with a Faller B-180 Covered Platform, Faller B-181 Covered Platform, Faller B-548 Bridge, two Faller B-186's Schonblick Stations and a Faller B-99 Lindental Station

A veritable treasure trove!

Will you be building them or keeping them as un-built?

Hello Thom,
Wow Woot very nice purchases. ThumpUp
B-186 is not station Schonblick but an arched glass platform roof. (Station Schonblick is B-103).

The unusual M-track sure looks to me as the rare and (very) expensive and very sought after type 3800/3900 track with the plastic sleepers on the metal track bed (aka 'Modelgleise').
Sometimes you can find them on ebay for € 10 or € 12 for a single track.

I sure like these Faller purple control sheets and especially the (date) stamp on it.
Normally these have six numbers but sometimes five.
Slowly I'm finding out how to read the stamps.
The sheet of Thom's B-180 kit is stamped with 20716 ... I guess that makes 16 July 1962 ... (6)20716

That also matches some other sheets I've seen, I have the 4916 ADAC roadside service point that was in the Faller program from 1964 to 1973 with a stamp 40831.. that is 31 August 1964 ... (6)40831.

BigGrin You are correct, it is 3900 series. The seller started at $5.00 US for a piece of track and I got him down to $2.50 US or 2.00 Euro for each piece track. I ended up with 40 pieces of track!Love

Ray, I may try to build the bridge, as it appears incomplete and would be kind of a "kitbash"...
One of the B-186 platform/canopy is also in tough shape, so I may try to build that also. I may just keep the rest un-built.Smile
