Just hear in the German forum (not stummi) and it could be BR01.519 fit for Insider 2015.

Still yet to confirm! Roco already make BR01.5 before.

01 519 is a very good looking machine! It would make a nice Marklin model. ThumpUp

There are different opinions on whether Marklin should produce models which have already been done by other manufacturers. Personally, I think they should, as they have a different approach to loco building which is preferred by most Marklin fans, including metal boilers, motors in the boiler, not the tender, etc.

Let's hope that they can get the quality control issues sorted soon, so that we can all buy these new models without fear of getting a dud.

Not Stummi?
Is it DSO?

Märklin donate money for the maintenance of 01 519.
Time will tell if we see more than an N gauge model of 01 519 from MäTrix.

Apart from Marklin supporting it, what is special about it that they would do an Insider model of it?

Hi Alan,

The DR rebuilds of the Br01 turned out to be the most powerful German locomotives ever built. Only five have been preserved, and one is 01 519, which marklin is helping to support.

Why not an electric locomotiv?
What they write in the stummi forum,it´s just supposition and hypothesis.
Depends if they write "even if" i have wrong,i do have right.

We had electric E93 as a first Insider model in 2014, so steamer as a first Insider model in 2015 seems to be ok.

39030 might be a BR 38 steamer. A lot of BR38 do have a 3703x code and as Märklin is now using 39xxx for any kind of motor ...

Hi Ray, all,

You're spot-on. The BR 18.5 is indeed very similar to the BR 18.4, except for a very visible flat rather than round fronted cab. The BR 18.5 is a so called Series K loco, produced in Era II (so technically, it could be debated whether it is still Bavarian) and having slightly smaller drive wheels compared to the 'original' S3/6 as build around 1912 (?).

Twin units probably only used in the fifties, hard to find information on that.
Early sixties most regional traffic taken care of by Schienenbus (railwaybus) and the ever present V100.

OK, seeing as how I managed to take some photos of the new Insider items at the Messe, and we are spending Sunday doing nothing as all the Christmas markets are closed as it is Remembrance day in Germany, I will post some pictures.

Let us start with the Insider Wagon 2015, and Trix Proficlub Wagon 2015 ...

I haven't trimmed the files down, so you will have to download them for your viewing pleasure, but you should get reasonable detail, although some of them aren't too good due to various reflections on the glass cabinet.

Anyway, the Miniclub Insider loco was not present, just this card with a picture, same for the Minitrix Profi Club Loco ...

Pity I didn't see your post earlier. The Christmas market down by the Chocolate museum was open on Saturday when I was there. The rest opens on Monday 24th..... a bit late but will be plenty around (by Dom, Altstadt - Alter Markt, Neumarkt, Heumarkt etc).

We will be doing the Christmas markets in Cologne tomorrow (Monday). Just got back from the Essen Christmas Market.

It was interesting to watch the download counts on the photos I uploaded - someone must have tweeted the link onto a Trix related forum I suspect, as only a handful have downloaded the Marklin Insider wagon picture, but almost as many have downloaded the Trix Proficlub wagon picture as the rest of the pictures. It took about a half hour to get over 100 for each of them, and at one point there were 329 guests looking at the thread Woot

Let us start with the Insider Wagon 2015, and Trix Proficlub Wagon 2015 ...

I think the Trix Club Members are getting a better deal than us Insiders, box cars for M Insiders are a bit too common Bored

Hi Glen,

I agree that box cars can be a bit boring, but the Trix wagon is just a re-hash of an old Marklin wagon.

You can order it at any dealer and show him your club card number record without needed coupon.

The pair is on list in profit with Club website log in.

The 'official' announcement is always at the Nurnberg Toy Fair which is in the first week of February. In practice the new items brochures start to come out in January. Some companies like Hornby will release their NI brochure just before or just after Christmas.

One of the best places to keep track of the NI brochures of all the MRR related companies is the homepage of Lokshop but Modellbahn Walter Licht can also be worth watching (check the 'actual downloads' in the bottom of the left column), as sometimes there seems to be a race or different interpretation of embargo times between different shops - or it may just be dependant on how busy they are as to when they post the brochure links.

I find Lokshop good as they also put up the NI brochures for marklin and Trix in all languages - not immediately, it does take up to a week, but I always look at the German brochure as that has prices in it Drool - the English brochure doesn't Angry

Hi

Regards Marklin new items for 2015, the 6/2014 version of Insider News contains implicit information regarding new items in C track.
They are in the planning stage, and appear to be in the 247xx series (so-called slim geometry).
At least one item may be a double-slip crossing/turnout arrangement.
Another is a curved version of the slim turnout.

But Karl-Heinz Grässle, HO Product Manager, says of the cost of development, and I quote:
"....is similar to that of the tooling for a new locomotive. The crunch point is not the product itself, once design has
been finalized. It’s the special machinery required for series production and tolerances in the range of hundredths of millimeters that must be met.”

regards
Kimball

HO Scale - Märklin (ep III and VI, C Track, digital) - 2 rail (USA and Australia) - 3 rail (English Hornby Dublo) - a few old O gauge.

It would be great if they include wide radius (r4/r5) curved turnouts.
