I'm a collector and the minimum age of the models I collect is 35 years. Less than that, I'm not interested. Given that age, clean models are sometimes pretty hard to find for a reasonable price. I'm very picky about what I buy. I need to be picky, as I'm not exactly wallowing in money [:I]. I have 18 vintage locomotives and a heap of coaches and freight cars, all from the same period.

Well [}:)] - just wait a little, Zora ...
Returned to MRR two years ago when our Grandson was born, and all I had were 3 old locos plus some transformers (from our sons when they were little). Being only one this number seemed more than sufficient for me.
Then I entered The Forum. Now I've got 18 ... [xx(][:o)]

Twelve with the thirteenth on order. My wife got me my first set for Christmas last year. The other day she looked at the trains we have and asked "does everyone have this many trains or do they just have one or two". Thanks to this forum I was able to truthfully answer "NO many people have many more than I do". I showed here pictures you have all posted to the forum showing your layouts. She went away shaking her head in amazement. I figure I am good for a few more before I get asked again.

I own 8 locos in total (including 2 that belong to my wife - but I use them)...

1 steamer in Z scale and 1 in H0.
2 diesels.
4 electric.

Right now I have 2 fully digital and running. 2 deltas. 2 converted to digital and not yet running. 2 analogue, with one of them canditate for conversion (but it's a rare piece and I hesitate...) and the second is Z scale and not going digtal...

I've got 7 locos:

2 tender-loks 3087 (black ones, from early 80, when I was child)

1 BR-24 (from early 80 too)

1 Diesel V60

1 red Schienen-bus

1 BR E-60, with a fresh installed Delta decoder (I'm not that happy with this decoder, the loco doesn't work pretty well since)

1 Ce 6/8III (39560) brand new, Digital

I'm planning to buy 1 little Köf II and a P8 this year or next year. I think I gonna modify the E-60 again to fit a 5 pole motor and a digital decoder. I don't think I'll modify the 3 steam-locs because this onces are special to me :)

It's a really small collection, but I'm proud of it :)

Yes , too many delta. expecting to convert them all in a year. Not sure about those with SFCM though.
Agree that it's not how many you own that matters, it's how devoted are you that really matter. May be I should try not to buy so often and make good use of what's in hand.

We have 20-something locs. Some very old and analogue, some new and very digital. I recently had to dismantle my layout on which some 12 digital locs were present. In half a year I hope to start a new and bigger layout. 1 or 2 locs may get digitized, or 1 new loc will be bought: depends a bit on ebay...
IB since 2000. Latest loc aquisition: 37554 BR 55 a long time ago...

Hi Steven,

I would certainly be loco to get them. Wife has promised to cut them
off I get more trains. There would be a brief moment of satisfaction
however........ they would have to be sewn back on first.

Cheers

Hi

I have two Locos.

One 39579, the DB103. (Digital), bought from eBay.de this month. Haven't been able to test it yet. I don't own any equipment for that yet.

And one from 1987-88 I think. It's from a starter set with M-tracks. I don't know anything else about that loco. Today it makes a horrible noise when you drive it around the tracks. There has never been any maintenace made on that loco (sadly). But it still runs.
Märklin, 3R, Digital (system), C-Track, favourit loco: Baureihe 103 137-6
My homepage: http://home.aland.net/mi...da/MR/modelrailroad.html
I will buy Märklin 4644 BP tankerwagons that have the original box and are in good condition. (No broken details)

Let's see.. 2 digital start sets with 2 loco's each, a 4-part ice2, the mickey mouse special thing, the s3/6 era5 royal blue special, and a start set big boy.

All are digital, mickey mouse and s3/6 were delta's original (digitals were sold out), which I converted.

I also have a z scale start set which I digitalized as well.

And then there's my old N scale stuff, which is in Holland so I really have no idea how many loco's that is. On a sidenote, none of the H0 and Z is 2nd hand, and I'll likely never buy any 2nd hand either unless I'm 100% certain the loco hasn't been mistreated.
- Martijn
(early planning : H0-scale Era I K.Bay.sts.b)
(active planning : N-scale mixed late Era Japanese)
(possibly something Z-scale as well ;))

108, most of them are electrical. About 80 are digital.

Not all Märklin, also Roco (10), Fleischmann (3) and Kleinbahn (2).

8 of these loco's carry sound decoders.

Thanks Steven,

After I made that post, I just wonder who the oldest goat is around here?

Since today, I have two! Smile I just bought a very fine second hand BR 01 (39103) at the large MRR market in Houten (Netherlands).
I already owned a BR 44 (37884). I started half a year ago.

This makes it easier to test the block system I am implementing biggrin
I designed my own electronic circuits, to get a cheap and very space efficient setup. I control the train, oops trains, using an MS amplified by a Delta controller.

Cheers! Rene

As far as I know, the only MFX equipped Croc is the GG-1. The new green Seetal Croc is indicated in the catalogue as a MFX model, but this is a printing error. It's a FX loco, not a MFX one.
