Within a few months, Lima, Rivarossi, Arnold-N and Jouef will return under the new name Hornby International. All new models will have a NEM socket and are prepared for DCC. For the German market some models will also be available in 3 rail AC.

For more information, please read this link —>

would like to see someone like a weinert do a superdetail kit for the Leopold K5 RR gun, with photoetch and a turned metal barrel. I have an old Lima one. Not sure how it scales out though to true HO 1/87".
as far as the models go, how many more HO DB type V200 models do we need? why not do some unique stuff?

That`s a six axle V300, an absolutely unique DB loco, but: There were Greek, Yugoslavian and Spanish versions of the same basic design.

Regards,
Manfred

I’d like to make a critical note. If Hornby had not take over Lima, Arnold-N, Rivarossi and Jouef, they probably did not exist anymore. First of all Hornby International has to earn money, before they can invest in new models. To be critical at Hornby before they introduced anything is not at it’s place. At least I am happy that Lima and so on will return.

Its good to see the return of Lima, Rivarossi, Joef and Arnold. I have the Hornby International catalogue and thought that the V300 was a miss print. Thank you for pointing that out to me. Checked out prices with local agent and they seem to be very reasonable so I think I will go ahead and order V300 (AC) (109 Sterling).

Many thanks
Chris

6 axles instead of 4... But the rest of it looks quite similar. Since this was an export version for Yugoslavia, I suppose the reason to put in an extra axle in each end was weight limitations of the railroads there. But making a V300 wouldn't be too difficult!

rivarossi made some nice USA prototype steam locomotives like the UP FEF-3, NYC Empire Limited streamliner, and some others not modeled by anyone except for maybe brass.
would be nice to see those out again - plans to convert some to 3-rail on my list.
rivarossi also made some decent UP passenger coaches which shuld go well with the marklin PA-1's.
