Hi can anyone tell me if there is any red conductive paint for pantographs please. I have some Z locomotives which have silver pantographs which I will be using with powered overhead! So the paint needs to be conductive. Help! Cheers Dan |

If you look at photos of real locos with red pans the actual contacts are usually black (I think they're generally coated with a graphite paste, which reduces wear).
If the Z loco pans are blackened then spraying them red before removing the paint from the contacts (try a track cleaning block) might do the trick. Rather you than me though - there's a risk of gluing them solid with paint, given how tiny the fittings are! |

Cheers Dan Hi Dan,all, The paint itself does not have to be conductive,only the contact areas(pans and to the motor).I can walk you through it. Dr D
