To me - it looks like a customer query for a company decision to go full digital with Z or not wasting money on that...

Thanks for posting the information. If I win anything I'll thank you even more! :)
I find it hard to fathom a z scale engine with smoke but it would look cool.

It is actually a good survey in both German and English asking do we want digital locos in Z and what format and functions. Yes they could have done it on the internet via user groups and distrbuters but they haven't so you have to print the survey and post it - So Post it if you want change and improvement.

Well, I'm going to post it. It's like voting in elections - if you don't you don't have any voice at all in the election of a government.

You can also scan and email it-I forget the email off the top of my head, but it was on their Facebook post about this.

Hi All,

How encouraging is this. I hope as many people reply as possible as it will be important for us Z users to show our voice.

I particularly like their comment "Marklin wants to expand the gauge further....".

My only concern would be given I already am 100% digital (Using Velmo's great decoders) that anything Marklin do won't render any of my current (and significant $$) investment obsolete.

Cheers,

Wal

This is definitely a good sign as M appears to be asking what some in the Z-scale community have been doing for years. American Z-lines has provided for a decoder install for quite some time now and the decoders have been on the market as well.

Will post the survey to them.

When this thread started I emailed Marklin directly asking if there was an email option, their reply came yesterday (only a 4 day delay, and taking into account the weekend I think this is a very fast response). They replied...

Dear Mr. Cook,

if you like you can send it to us from the customer service. We will print it out and give it to the others. Please note: We can receive emails with an attachment of maximum 10 MB.

Sincerely yours,

So I too shall be offering my contribution, not that I expect to win anything but I do have a very small amount of Mini-Club, two starter sets, and always dreamed of a coffee-table or other novelty-style layout.
