Does Märklin (or maybe even Roco) make an HO model of the prototype shown in the photo below? If they do I might have to have a try at repainting one and making a set of decals

I could be wrong but I've got it in my mind that there was a starter set with a yellow V100.

You'd still have to get/do the decals
Sad when its cheaper to buy a new 29640 starter set from Germany than a CS2 on its own in Oz, welcome to the joys of Marklin down under .

Cool item, but then I'm a sucker for anything in Yellow. Drool

But I still would have thought it unusual for Märklin to promote themselves on a prototype but then not make a model of the same article?

In fact, I can't think of another instance but no doubt someone will point out several after I've posted this! Blushing

Here's some more info on the prototype from the Leonhard Weiss website. Its odd Märklin never did a model of this one since they seem to be a major sponsor of this loco. But now almost five years since the prototype was painted up nothing. Its a type 100 / Br214.

I looked on the Reynaulds' webstore and didn't see any matches to this type, from any of the manufacturers the stock.
