Hi!

My knowledge of the Swedish language is close to zero.

I hope the Swedish members of this forum can provide more suggestions than I can.

Here we go with Dialogue #1:
I presume the word "är" should come after the 9999. Right?
I think there should be a fullstop at the end, too.

Dialogue #2:
The Swedish keyboard looks like the German keyboard. No "Å", but instead there is an "Ü".
Other special signs missing? How about "¤"?

Dialogue #4:
How are rules with respect to upper and lower case in Swedish?
"info Audio version" looks odd to me.

"är" should be after "protokollet" to be grammatically correct...

It is not the only error on that screen....

You know, I will meet Herr Lorentz twice later this month - maybe I should volunteer to do the Swedish translations for the CS2 so they get it right?

Menu items should always be uppercase since they are regarded as the beginning of a sentence....

I am not surprised.

If they cannot afford professional translators, maybe they will be happy to find volunteers.

And we user qwerty here, not qwertz... ¤ is Shift-4 here....

I have done a lot of online screen keyboard translations at work for our mobile computers so I have some "experience" in this area... Wink

Hi!

Dialogue #1

To be grammatically correct, the text should read:

Lokadressen är ogiltig!
För det valda protokollet är endast lokadresser i intervallet 1-9999 tillåtna.

Dialogue #2

The letters Z and Y sholuld swap places. And you are correct in that Å is missing. See this link for a complete Swedish keyboard.

Keyboard

Dialogue #3

The text marked in yellow in this image, showing the top speed setting. Should read: Hastighet or Topphastighet Which means Speed and Topspeed respectively. And you are correct again. No full stops.

Dialogue #4

Info and Version are actually quite OK in this "dialogue window" they are the same in Swedish

Though the labels Keyboard, Layout, Memory, Setup, Control.
Should in Swedish read something like: Tangentbord, Anläggning, Minne, Inställningar, Kontroll.

On the bottom I would like Audio to read: Ljud. Sound in Swedish.

Remember, this is my interpretation. BigGrin

Hope this helps you out!

Emil

"Info" and "Version" are correct, "info" and "version" are not. Not the biggest error though.

Do you have a CS2? Can you take screen shots of other texts that can be improved?
But maybe we should wait to hear what Juhan arranges with Herr Lorentz later this month.

Tom

Hi!

Unfortunately I don't have a CS 2. But Maybe someone else on here has spotted something.

I'm also looking forward to what Herr Lorentz say. :)

Best regards!

I am actually seriously thinking about suggesting that this international forum should go into a cooperation with M to sort out their language problems in products...

Am I asking too much?

I think so!
The problems with the bugs are Märklin and we have warranty that cover faults from Märklin.
