Hi!

Happy Star Wars Day everybody (May the fourth ...).

Here's a picture of my humble Star Wars fleet:

Star Wars fleet
From left to right: Skywalker, Organa, R2D2

There are more in 1:1 scale: Kenobi, Solo, Calrissian, and Yoda (but I haven't seen any H0 models of those yet).
Regards
Tom

Thanks Tom, I didn't know these locos were named after Star Wars characters!

May the fourth be with you too.

From left to right: Trix (plastic body), Märklin, Roco.
Same livery, but three different moulds.

Hector Rail picked many names from movies:
Kane and Rosebud, Balboa, James and Elwood, ...

Didnt know anything about that... But judging from your photo; The Märklin one seems the LEAST detailed. It appears that many details and prints are missing. Is that correct?

Also wondering; You mention that the Trix is plastic. So the Märklin is not? Can you tell if Trix and M. uses two different moulds? (Seems strange that they would not save cost here...)

Impressive collection! ;-)

Henrik,

The Marklin model is the "Hobby" version of the TRAXX loco, with a metal body but few details. The Trix model is a different mould for the same loco, with a plastic body and more accurate details added.

I believe this year's new models from Marklin include a couple of the Trix toolings modified for AC and marketed under the Marklin label.
