Hello everyone. I recently picked up a z scale Marklin 8816 Railbus. When I tested it, it would spin up like crazy, but would hardly move, and I noticed just one set of wheels were turning. I got a great price, but when I opened it up, I found out why. The gearsets are badly damaged. On the wheels and on the transfer gears, the teeth are all twisted and scored. I would like to get this one running again, and may consider putting a 5 pole. It is likely the screw grear on this motor is also messed up. I am able to find the motor no problem but have not come across the wheels and gear set. Could anyone suggest where someone could obtain these pieces? I have no z scale dealers in my town. I have hear if a motor is ordered, it does not come with the brushes. Also, I have heard conflicting reports that the brushes on the 3 pole could be used on the 5 pole. Could someone confirm this? Thanks
