From the change of train time tables this past weekend in Europe the Swedish train operator Blå Tåget has replaced TRAXX engines by Vectron engines and as a result raised the top speed of their train between Gothenburg and Stockholm from 140 to 160 km/h. The photo below shot by Jan Lindahl (editor in chief of the magazine TÅG of Svenska Järnvägsklubben, SJK (the Swedish Railway Club)) and Blå Tåget leases two engines of this type.

Blå Tåget was one of the train operators that tested the Vectron engine that Siemens had in Sweden earlier and can be seen in a photo in an article from the Finish TV YLE as linked to by Janne75 in his post on VR's order for 80 Vectron engines. The Vectron in Sweden is standard gauge whereas those for Finland will be broad gauge.

As you may have understood high speed is not a unique selling point of Blå Tåget. A traditional restaurant coach, where the food is prepared onboard is a USP of Blå Tåget and they have former DB restaurant coaches in their trains. More information can be found on their Internet pages. (For those of you who don't read Swedish, there is a button "English" at the top to the right).
