I wonder if you guys can steer me in the right direction with regards to sending a faulty ESU Loksound MFX decoder back to the manufacturer. Previously I was told it went back via USA to an address in Upsala MN. I have had this decoder as brand new for a while now just sitting for the rainy day occasion & yesterday was it only to find it getting hot when trying to travel forward. If I change direction the lights change over but loco still stutters forward in same manner & decoder gets extremely hot to the point it melts the plastic surround. I hard wired this into the loco. I removed it & re installed the 8 pin harness & tested it on the ESU test stand only to have same result. As I have long ago lost the receipt of this purchase how do you suggest I proceed. Would sending it back to Germany be a better option & to what address would I post it to?

Cheers Dave...

Warranty is two years and ESU normally ask for a copy of the invoice as a proof of date of purchase.
If you lost the receipt, then maybe better ask them by e-mail before sending the decoder back.
When sending back defective decoders out of warranty, you can buy new decoders at reduced prices (but postage costs may make this unattractive).

Address would be this:
