Hello, Does anyone know the diameter and guage of wire used to make the NEW Marklin catenary? I believe it is made by Vollmer. I am making a small bracket and I need to know what the actual diameter of the wire is. Thanks in advance!

I didn't know that Vollmar made the catenary. The Veissmann are much better scaled.

David: I misread your post. The new Marklin catenary is, in fact, Viessmann, not Vollmer, as Stephen pointed out. I measure the wires a .024 inch diameter, which is about 0.6 mm, which gives us a cross section of about 0.29 mm^2. That puts it right between 22 and 24 AWG.
