Last week or so i saw a very interesting documentary about steamloco Flying Scotsman on BBC television, which we can receive perfectly in Holland.
The one hour long documentary covers every aspect of the famous loco, including the design, the building, the daily operation, the very expensive maintenance, the various owners etc.
After she was saved from the breakers, various wealthy British aristocrats pored a lot of money into keeping her operational, even to the stage of bankruptcy.
She travelled to the USA in the sixties and after a glorious first tour the second trip caused a financial disaster for the owner.
I was lucky enough to find the movie on Youtube.
Should buy a proper Hornby 00 scale Flying Scotsman at some stage i reckon.....

Enjoy!

Paul.
