Hello,

some time ago some participants complained about the loud engine of the Märklin transfer table 7294. Now a Märklinist (whose profession by the way it is to drive freight trains ...) who lives around the corner told me about a company that offers smooth Faulhaber engines for all model railroad purposes, including one for the transfer table, and, as I just saw, also for the turntable 7286. His experience with these motors resulted in a full recommendation.

I am not related to that company, not affiliated, and I'm not receiving bonuses .... It's simply meant as a help to those unhappy with their transfer table.

Regards,

Johann

thanks, I am very likely going to order one as the noise is totally unacceptable.

I wonder if it's easy to install is all?

Yeah, I was going to order one for the Turntable and the transfer table - but they don't take credit cards.

Install time for transfer table was 3 hours according to their website - and 6(!!!) for the turntable - but both were deemd to be easy installs - without the use of a milling machine (!!!!).

How about driving the original motor with DC instead, should silence it a bit...

3 hours!! Which means for me (as I am not at all technically proficient with my hands) 12 hours!!! Forget it![:0]

I'll live with the noise.

Hi Sam,

the time table which shows the time to install the new motor does not mean you have to install it yourself. It is simply a way to find out how much it will cost you to have the engine installed, on top of the price for the engine itself.
